Speaking

Along with writing this blog, I am a speaker, teacher and one woman show artist. If you want to know more details about my speaking experience read my bio below:

Myah Gary is a Christian one-woman show artist. She serves on leadership at One Vision Outreach Training Center Ministry under Rev. Michael Gary and Rev. Dr. Mallory Gary. Myah has been in ministry for over eight years. She is the founder and writer of the blog Devoted. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English-Creative Writing and Sociology, a Master’s in Health Education, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Health Education and Theater. She is also pursuing a certification in Worship Fundamentals through the online worship training center WorshipU. Combining a mix of biblical teaching, theater, health, and sociological knowledge, Myah creates thought-provoking, non-traditional presentations that discuss issues infiltrating society and the church.  In her presentations for youth, young adults, and women’s ministries Myah aims to show the love of Christ all while bringing awareness to the health and social issues occurring in society.

Myah has been speaking, performing and writing since her adolescence. Her first speaking tour consisted of doing presentations for several Christian youth groups in the southern and middle Illinois regions. Since then, Myah has had the opportunity to speak to both large and small audiences. Myah has done creative presentations for many organizations, including but not limited to the following: One Vision Outreach Training Center Ministry, Southern Illinois University Career Preparatory Program, MedPrep, Saluki Summer Bridge Program, D.O.L.L.S Youth Group (Mounds, Illinois), WIM- Women in Ministry (El Paso, Texas), Carbondale Women’s Center, Calvary Campus Church and many more.

     Myah’s ultimate goal as a Christian educator-performer is to create performances and educational seminars that bring glory to Christ, spark dialog, promote healing, and create awareness on health and social issues. 

 Myah lives in Southern Illinois. When she is not performing, studying, or serving at her church she enjoys spending time with the Lord, sewing, reading, and being close to her family and friends.
